2020 Registration

The 30th Annual Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference & Show will take place on September 23 & 24, 2020!

The event will provide engineers with one of the best opportunities to accumulate the majority of annual Professional Development Hours needed to maintain licensure.  

The conference brings in some of the top speakers in the Nation every year as well as numerous exhibitors that provide 

solutions to engineering and business needs.

The Pontchartrain Center

Our conference is held every year at

The Exhibit Hall is located on the 1st Floor, in Halls A&B

Presentations will be held in Meeting Rooms 1, 2 and 3, also on the 1st Floor.

Lunch will be served each day in the Pontchartrain Ballroom, located in Hall C on the 1st Floor

New Orleans Airport

The hotel is located directly next door to the Pontchartrain Center and they offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.

When will the conference take place? Where is it located?

The conference is on September 23 & 24, 2020.

It is held every year at the Pontchartrain Center located at:

How can I register? What are the registration rates?

Registration Opens in April of 2020.

Am I eligible for the member rate?

If you are a current member of ASCE or ACI you are eligible for the member rate.

Does my registration include meals?

  • Breakfast and Lunch on Wednesday and Thursday

  • Hors d’oeuvres and 2 drink tickets for the reception on Wednesday

  • Afternoon snacks during the last break on Thursday

Where do I pick up my registration materials?

You will need to pick up your name badge along with conference materials when you arrive. Your name badge serves as entry to all conference functions, including social functions. The registration desk is located at the rear of the exhibit hall and is open the following hours:

  • Tuesday (exhibitors only): 12:00 - 5:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

  • Thursday: 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM

How do I get a receipt for my registration?

Once you are registered for the annual conference you will be able to view and print your confirmation, as well as log in to your registration portal at any time to print receipts and/or confirmations.

Will I receive a printed conference program?

A printed copy of the program is available.

However, the interactive schedule, exhibitor list, speaker bios, and more information is easily accessible from your mobile device!

What is the conference attire?

Business casual is suitable for all conference activities. 
It is recommended to bring a light sweater as exhibit hall and meeting rooms can get chilly.

How can I reserve a hotel room, and what are the rates?

I only want to attend one day of the conference, is that possible?

Yes, one-day conference registration is available. Please note that your registration is valid only for sessions and events on that day and badges will be actively checked throughout the conference to ensure that participants have registered properly.

Is the conference schedule available?

Details will be posted on our website as they are confirmed. A full conference schedule, including conference sessions, will be available on our website in late July.

When will the exhibit hall be open?

The exhibit hall is open from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday and from 7:30 to 11:00 AM on Thursday.

I am a student, can I attend for free?

We absolutely encourage students to participate in the conference.


Students can participate free of cost by one of the following ways:

  1. Participating in the Student Bridge Competition, contact rjchopin@bkiusa.com  (Max 25)

  2. Participating in the Student Chapters of ACI UNO/ASCE UNO and working at the respective booth, contact rjchopin@bkiusa.com (Max 8)

How do I participate in Door Prize drawings?

Each exhibitor has a lead retrieval scanner. Every time you are scanned, you receive an entry to win. 
Speakers, Exhibitors, Hosts and Students are not eligible to win.

A Call for Speakers will be announced in late April.

How can I receive a list of participants or attendees?

The participant list is sent to registered exhibitors after the conclusion of the conference.

I just want to attend one session or look at the exhibits. Is that possible to do without registering for the conference?

Individuals wanting to participate in one session or look at the exhibits must register for a one-day pass for that day; LCECS does not allow unregistered attendees to come to sessions or other conference events.

Will I receive a certificate of attendance for my continuing education hours?

A PDH form is provided during registration and check in

If you are audited, LCECS can provide a receipt as proof of your attendance.

What is the cancellation policy for the conference?

I am an overseas participant and need a letter of invitation before I can receive my visa. What is the procedure?

The Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference and Show is not responsible for supplying Invitation and Visa Letters or other Documentation to International attendees. If you require such a document, please contact the national chapter of ASCE or ACI.
